Which is a refreshing mantra to hear from a ‘suit’, but for Rod, strategy is where the creative begins. With 25 years of industry experience, Rod is one of Melbourne’s most experienced advertising and marketing communicators. His entrepreneurial attitude to business is underpinned by his strong client service ethic and adherence to strategy. As a founding partner of Leonardi Curtis, he helped build one of Australia’s most successful creative agencies. Rod’s also worked at JWT, Masius Wynne Williams and Y&R as well as running his own marketing/business consultancy. During Federal and State election campaigns Rod can be heard on ABC radio as a guest commentator.

Having been creative director of some of Australia’s most creatively awarded agencies – George Patts, Adtown, JWT – Fysh has made a lot of ads in his time. His philosophy, based on 25 years industry experience, is simple: the big idea married to sound strategy is the foundation of all effective communication. Fysh has also been a major contributor to the industry with his involvement in the MADC, The Caxton Press Awards and is a regular guest lecturer at RMIT and Melbourne University.
